  • Maintenance Description:

    Due to the returned flooding conditions in KZN multiple services in the affected areas are being observed as down. Our upstream providers are aware of the situation as the damages have caused multiple fibre breaks and physical damage to microwave equipment and towers. In the areas that our providers are able to safely access, they do have teams on route to start service restoration. However, certain areas are deemed unsafe where ground erosion is being observed. Our upstream providers will be attending to all faults as soon as they can and as soon as the areas are safe. Along with the above services two of our Echo Core NLD services have also been affected by flood damage in the KZN area, our NetOps team are actively monitoring and routing traffic over alternative paths to ensure minimal disruption, until our upstream provider deems it safe to conduct repairs.

All ported numbers are working correctly.

This issue has been escalated to the senior team in Vodacom, no ETAR has been confirmed as yet.

Comsol management is aware of the network instability being experienced in multiple areas in Gauteng.

A P1 incident has been logged with the relevant back haul upstream provider and immense pressure is being applied to them to ensure immediate restoration of optimum service.

It is suspected to be a failure between New Germany and Pietermaritzburg.
